Daily Grade Run FAQs
What is a Grade Run?
A grade run is the process used to move submitted grades onto students’ records. The process will happen automatically at the end of each day, after the final grade list has closed.
When are grades due?
- Off-Cycle Courses will have 10 calendar days from the last day of the course to submit final grades.
- Full semester length courses will have 3 business days from the last day of finals week to submit final grades.
When will grades be processed if in an “Approved” status prior to 3 business days?
a. Full semester-length courses: Grades will be processed at the end of the third business day. This will allow time for necessary changes prior to the grade run if needed.
b. Off-cycle courses: Grades will be processed when in an "Approved" status or at the end of the 10th calendar day from the course end date.
What is the timeline for the Final Grade Run?
- Final grades will open 14 days prior to the final grade run and will close 3 business days from the last day of finals week to submit final grades.
- During this time NO grades will be ran through a grade run, including off-cycle courses
Which courses go through the Final Grade Run at the end of the session?
Full semester-length courses will be processed during the final grade run. If a course is off-cycle and ends while the final grade run is open, it will be held until final grades are processed.
My course has projects/papers due after the official end date of our course, how can ensure there is time to grade the projects/papers?
In Course Offerings in MAUI the override end date may be entered to allow time for the projects/papers to be submitted and graded. Additional instructions for updating the Override End Date is available on our website
