If you are using a vendor not listed above, please include the book details in this area, as well.
Free for Students
Is the resource free of cost to students? If so, contact a department administrator to make sure the resource is marked as “cost free to student” within the “other resources and additional information area.” This will display the resource as cost-free for students in MyUI.
What types of resources are considered “cost free to students”?
- Library materials – e-books, articles, or other resources licensed for use by students.
- Open Educational Resources (OER) - teaching, learning, and research resources that are free of cost and access barriers, and which also carry legal permission for open use. Generally, this permission is granted by use of an open license (for example, Creative Commons licenses).
- Other web resources and online materials – these items may not be openly licensed but can be found for free online.
