The title of each course offered by the College of Engineering is preceded by a three-digit prefix (departmental information) and a three-digit suffix (course level information) separated by a colon. The first digit of the prefix is 5 which identifies the course as being offered by the College of Engineering. The second digit of the prefix identifies the division of the College which offers the course. The third digit of the prefix identifies the curricular program for which the division offers the course.
