Applications for Resident Classification should be submitted as follows:

  • Students applying for residency for Summer should submit their complete application shortly after May 1 (as soon as your pay statement including the working day of April 30 is available)
    • Your qualifying year will be [Month, Year] - [Month, Year] and you must have worked 1,560+ hours, averaging at least 30 hours each week
  • Students applying to be new Residents for Fall 2017 should submit their complete application shortly after July 1 (as soon as your pay statement including the working day of June 30 is available)
    • Your qualifying year will be [Month, Year] - [Month, Year] and you must have worked 1,560+ hours, averaging at least 30 hours each week
  • Students applying for residency for Spring should submit their complete application shortly after November 1 (as soon as your pay statement including the working day of October 31 is available)
    • Your qualifying year will be [Month, Year] - [Month, Year] and you must have worked 1,560+ hours, averaging at least 30 hours each week

Missing a suggested submission date means you may initially receive a non-resident tuition bill which you are obligated to pay.   If you are later determined to be a resident for tuition purposes a credit may be applied to your account.

Applications for the current semester will not be accepted after the 15th day of class.
