Four-Week Session

Summer 2018 Four-Week Session dates: May 15 - June 7; holiday is Monday, May 28; final exam day is Friday, June 8. There are  2 Mondays, 4 Tuesdays, 4 Wednesdays, and 4 Thursdays in the 4-week session for a total of 14 days.

University Classrooms

Courses not requiring a university classroom should consider following this schedule for student convenience in planning summer classes.

  • Courses must be scheduled every day on Monday through Thursday. 
  • Courses must be offered in the morning beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending by 12:30 p.m. with courses starting on the half hour; a course cannot meet for more than three hours at one time. 
  • Courses must meet for the entire length of the session or be an off-cycle course meeting within the 4-week session; approval is required by the Office of the Registrar in workflow for off-cycle courses and they should be intended for special populations. 
  • Web, hybrid, online courses, internships, and 0 s.h. courses cannot be offered in the 4-week session.
