President's List

The president’s list was established in the fall of 1983 to recognize undergraduate students with exceptional academic achievement. Undergraduate students are awarded president’s list academic honors each fall and spring after having met all award criteria for the completed session

The president’s list will be published about one month after the completion of the semester.

President's List Criteria

Award Criteria:

Undergraduate student;
UI Term Grade-point average (GPA; 4.00 is an A) of 4.00;
12 or more UI-graded semester hours;
No semester hours of “I” (incomplete) or “O” (no grade reported) during the same semester;
Must hold above criteria for two consecutive semesters (excluding summer and winter sessions).

Please note: Courses graded with a pass/non-pass grading system are not included in the grade-point average calculations or graded semester hour totals, potentially impacting eligibility for the president's list.

Why am I not on the list?

Your name may not appear on the president's list for a number of reasons.

Placing a restriction on your student data
Incomplete grade work, grades in progress, or revised grades

If you think your name should be on the list, please contact the Office of the Registrar.

This is not an official list of recipients. The list only includes those honors confirmed at the time of publication. Students with restrictions on their data are not included. Incomplete grade work or grade changes can also affect a student’s inclusion on this list.
