Policy Statement

Effective Date: Spring 2026

The student’s primary program of study impacts elements across the student record; thus, the date a primary program of study is changed may have significant impact on many factors within a student's record. To ensure consistency and transparency, the following rules apply when a student adds or changes their primary program of study.

• The program of study with the highest tuition and fee rate of assessment should always be primary. Exceptions may apply based on objective type. Please contact the Office of the Registrar for more information.
• Student primary program of study changes made on or prior to the 10th day of the current session (census date) will impact the current session tuition and fees assessment.
• Student primary program of study changes made after the 10th day of the current session (census date) will go into effect for the following session, unless there is no impact to tuition and fees, and the student remains in the same college.
