Congratulations on your upcoming graduation!

If you will be completing all of your degree requirements by the end of the ${sessionName}.

  • Your diploma will be mailed to you approximately six weeks after graduation. Diplomas will not be sent until ${sendMonth}.
  • Diplomas will not be released to graduates with past due amounts on their University of Iowa tuition bill.
  • Diplomas are mailed in a flat 10 inches x 13 inches cardboard mailer with the words DO NOT BEND printed in the front lower left corner of the mailer.


Your diploma will be mailed to the Diploma Mailing Address you provided on your degree application on MyUI. Please verify and/or update your Diploma Mailing Address in MyUI no later than ${addressDate}. Refer to additional information posted on the Diplomas webpage, under the Graduation tab, about updating your Diploma Mailing Address.


DOMESTIC STUDENTS will have their diploma mailed to their Diploma Mailing Address using United States Postal Service First Class Mail, approximately 6 weeks after graduation. For additional information see Domestic Students Diploma Delivery.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS may be best served by having their diplomas delivered abroad using Fed Ex International Priority, but any of the following delivery methods may be used.

  • Fed Ex International Priority (recommended but additional cost)
  • Ask Diploma Services to hold your diploma for you, to pick up in person, or mail to you at a later time.
  • USPS First Class Mail International (no tracking number, unreliable delivery, no additional cost).
