ISIS Alumni Accounts
If you already have a Hawk ID and password you will not need an ISIS
Alumni Account.
ISIS Alumni Accounts are set up by the Office of the Registrar for any former student who has
never had a Hawk ID. If you wish to create a new ISIS Alumni Account, have forgotten your Alumni
Hawk ID or password (or it has expired), please contact the Office of the Registrar via phone at 319-335-0244 or by fax at
319-353-2550.
If you choose to send a fax, be sure to include your name and student number or social security number and sign the request.
Once your request is received, the new password and login instructions can be e-mailed to you or can be mailed to the address you
request. If you are on the University of Iowa campus, you may also visit the office in person at the Registrar's Service Center,
17 Calvin Hall.
The Office of the Registrar can also assist alumni with any of the following problems:
- Remembering the Alumni Hawk ID needed to login to ISIS (all Alumni Hawk ID's are in the form
"ui" + 8 digit University ID number)
- Resetting forgotten passwords
- Resetting expired passwords
The following services are available to alumni once their account is set up:
- Changing Password - University policy requires ISIS passwords to be changed every 180 days.
If your password expires you will not be able to login to ISIS until the Office of the Registrar resets it.
- Grades - Shows a full report of the grades on record with The University of Iowa.
- Transcript Request - Official transcript(s) can be ordered and mailed to any address(es) you request. You will be billed via a U-Bill statement from
the Cashier's Office. The University does not accept credit cards as a payment option at this time. If you choose to order with a credit card addtional
service fees will apply. Your order will be placed through the National Clearinghouse, leaving the ISIS web-site.
- Verifications - Printable Verifications for test scores (ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL), degree verification (if applicable), and semester GPA summaries.
- University Bill - Shows a current University Bill.
- National Student Clearinghouse - The University of Iowa has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to act as its agent for verification
of student enrollment status. You can obtain an official printed Enrollment Verification Certificate, at no cost, by accessing the Clearinghouse
through ISIS. This certificate can be presented to health insurance agencies, housing authorities, consumer product
companies, banks, etc. when you are required to provide official evidence of enrollment at The University of Iowa.
- Note: The University of Iowa started participating in the Clearinghouse in the Fall of 2001. If you were enrolled in a previous session, you will
not be able to use the National Student Clearinghouse.
